Salon Philosophy

Continuous improvement is also fundamental to Chic Colour & Cuts. Our staff are frequently trained at the L’Oreal & Kérastesse Academies to ensure that each and every client receives an outstanding service. We only use premium products in our salon and have constantly strived to provide the best services and products to our Clientele. We are Monaghan's leading L'Oréal and Kérastase salon; and recently we were chosen by GHD to participate in market trials of GHD's new styling range. As a result we are now proud to be exclusive stockists of GHD's styling products in Monaghan.

We want our clients to feel relaxed from the moment they enter the salon till they leave. We believe every individual deserves to have the best service offered without exceptions. When our clients undergo a service, our stylists have a full consultation before any process has begun. This ensures the client is fully aware and confident of the service they receive. When bathing the client’s hair we offer complementary Shiatsu head massages creating a heavenly experience for the individual. Treatments are also available from our Kerastase range.

Maureen Conaty

Maureen began her career in the hairstyling industry with the award winning Peter Mark of Dundalk in Co. Louth. Graduating in 2006 amongst the top of her class, she continued working with Peter Mark gaining further experience from such mentors as Alan Austin Smith of 'Fantastic hairdresser'. Maureen also attended various hair styling competitions during this period further enhancing her knowledge of the industry and constantly keeping up to date with current and future trends.

In 2009 Maureen noticed a gap in the market for a salon in her native Monaghan town providing clients with the highest standards in creative hairstyling, offering fashion-led, wearable hairstyles tailored to each individual. It has been with this concept that Maureen established Chic Colour & Cuts.
Further development is a trademark of Maureen's and its her belief in providing customers with the highest standard in service and customer care that she has advanced her own training as a stylist. Maureen has completed the L'Oreal Colour Keys and Colour Change Diplomas, the Ambassador Diploma from the Kerastase Academy and in 2010 she successfully completed the highly accomplished L'Oreal Colour Specialist degree at the L'Oreal academy in Dublin. Making her the first stlist in Monaghan to achieve what is known as the highest accolade in the hair styling industry.

INOA is the first 100% ammonia-free permanent colorant that uses Oil Delivery System technology and it is exclusive to L’Oréal Professionnel. INOA heralds a change in modern hair colouring, from its advanced technology to its sensorial in-salon experience, and is now available to clients at Chic Colour & cuts in Monaghan.
